Brenda Faye High

Faye Liles High, 78, of Aurelian Springs, NC, died Friday, April 25, 2025, at ECU North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC of complications from a prolonged illness.

Faye was born on September 6, 1946, in Halifax County, NC to the late Billy Mohorn and Ophelia Isles Liles.

She is survived by her only daughter Brenda Sue High Huggins and her husband Thomas of Dillon, South Carolina; her sister, Connie Liles Rehkop and her husband Robert of Lillington, NC. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Liz High, of Lexington, KY; Kayla Shearon and her great grandson, Wyatt Dart, of Zebulon, NC; her niece Melissa Kampfer and her great nephew, Dylan and her great niece Savannah of Raleigh, NC and her nephew; Todd Harris, of Lillington, NC.

Faye was an avid cook, and she loved to crochet. She was a talented singer. She also enjoyed reading and watching her favorite television shows.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025, at 3:00pm in the Tabor Methodist Church Cemetery.
