Bettie Wright Dixon

Mrs. Bettie Wright Dixon, 89, of Roanoke Rapids died February 1, 2018 in her home.

A Halifax County native, she was born September 27, 1928 to Johnny Givens Wright and Patsy Lynch Wright.

Bettie worked in sales most of her career.  She enjoyed cooking and working puzzles, and love spending time

with her grandchildren.   Bettie was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Johnson; grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Bryan Johnson and David Johnson, Jr.;
great-grandchild, Ryland Brown; brother, John Wright; sister, Shirley Wright.   In addition to her parents, and her husband Arthur Lee Dixon, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 pm Sunday afternoon at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Rick Gaskins at 2 pm Monday in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
