Barbara Smith Shaw

Barbara Smith Shaw, 98 of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, December 3 ^rd , 2022, in Hampton Manor.

Ms. Shaw was born on August 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Hetti Hockaday Smith and William Walter Smith and she was the widow of the late John Floyd Shaw.  She is also preceded in death by her twin sister Bernice Smith Shaw.

Surviving include her daughter Linda Mackenzie (Bob), her two sons:  Jason Taylor Shaw (Judy) and Walter Floyd Shaw (Sarah), Seven grandchildren:  Craig Draughan (Dottie), Heather Vistrand (Scott), Jonathan Shaw (Robin), Joshua Shaw (Mollie), Walter Shaw, Jr. (Tammy), Jason Taylor Shaw, Jr. (Taylor), and Kristie Short (Colby), and 4 great grandchildren:  Brett Shaw (Haley), Lorelai Shaw, Mackenzie Vistrand, and Raelynn Vistrand.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7 ^th , 2022, in the Shaw Family Cemetery with Pastor Daniel West officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
