Barbara Jean Mills

Barbara Jean Mills, 79, of Gaston passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her home.

Barbara was born May 20, 1938 in Halifax County to the late James Willis Mills and Thelma Louise Pittman Mills. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Douglas Mills and her sister, Rebecca “Becky” Sykes.

Barbara was a loving sister and aunt.

She is survived by her nephews, Tony Sykes and his wife Sharon, David Mills and his wife Billie Jo and Danny Mills; several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Dr. Julian R. Mills, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
