Arnold Big Gene Gene Jordan, Sr., 66, of Halifax, died Monday, October 5, 2009. Arnold was baptized in the Community Center Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by

his parents: Ezra Jordan and Annabelle Cook, brother: Ronald Jordan,cousin: Grover Warren.

Arnold is survived by his wife: Burma Jordan of Halifax; son: Arnold Jordan, Jr. and wife Lesha of Halifax; daughter: Annette Faye Johnson and husband Robert of Roanoke Rapids; brothers: L. Wayne Jordan and wife Judy of Charleston, S.C. and Ezra B. Jordan, Jr. and wife Sandy of Georgia; sisters: Janet Murphy and Leigh Morang both of Providence, Rhode Island; grandchildren: Ashton Victoria Jordan, Jessica Danielle Jordan, Alexis Ann Parrish, Brittany Lee Parrish, Mallory Lynn Johnson and David Cole Johnson; special cousins: Billy Warren and wife Sandra and Mark Warren; cousins: Dan Warren and wife Marie, Tommy Warren and wife Phyllis, Patricia Warren, Betty Mae Carlisle and husband Curtis, Faye Sanderford and husband Bill, Johnelle Best and husband Ed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 7 9:00 pm at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11 am at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with the Rev. Chuck Podruchny, Rev. Timothy Merki and Rev. Maurice Wheat officiating.

Burial will follow in The Hedgepeth-Warren Cemetery in Darlington..
