Anthony Michael Milone, Jr., 68, of Gaston, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Anthony was born on November 25, 1957, in Hampton, Virginia, the son of the late Sondra Yvonne Fulghum and Anthony Michael Milone, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Miller, and by Ernest Lee “Pee Wee” Fulghum, Jr., the man who raised him and held a special place in his life.

Anthony had a true love for racing and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed racing cars on the dirt track and was an avid NASCAR fan. When he was not enjoying the excitement of racing, he could often be found fishing or making a trip to Bass Pro Shops, one of his favorite places to visit. These were some of the simple pleasures that brought him happiness and reflected the things he enjoyed most in life.

Those left to cherish Anthony’s memory include his daughter, Rose Milone; his stepson, Eric Mabrey and his wife, Shannon; his sister, Tracy Vincent and her husband, Steve; his grandson, Trace Milone; his granddaughter, Sarah Mabrey; his nieces and nephews, Betsy Miller, Franco Miller, Matthew Miller, Nicholas Miller, Lori Jones and her husband, Michael, and Donna Gordan and her husband, Murray, along with their children.

Anthony also leaves behind his special friends, Nan Sumner, Gaynell Stone, Barbara Davis, and her son, Eric Davis. The friendships he shared throughout his life were meaningful to him, and he will be remembered by those who knew and cared for him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, with Reverend Jason Yeatts officiating.
