Anthony "Tony" James Love

Anthony “Tony” James Love, 58, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away peacefully at Rex Hospital in Raleigh on Saturday, May 25, 2024, surrounded by family after his battle with cancer. Mr. Love was born on January 24, 1966, in Roanoke Rapids, the son of the late Brenda Ormond Love and Dallas “Bunky” Martin Love. Tony was also preceded in death by his son Steven Love and brother Billy Love.

Surviving include the love of his life Lottie Miles, his son Christopher Love, his daughter Jennifer Brewer (Brian), grandchildren Chloe Love, Morgan Brewer, Kevin Brewer, Addison Brewer, Mackenzie Brewer, LJ, Aiden and Mason, his sister Debbie Pittman (Steve), his brothers: Leonard Love (Julie), Keith Love (Effie), Mike Love, and sister-in-law Edith Love all of Roanoke Rapids; several special nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members.

Tony was a flooring specialist, and some say he was the fastest ever to lay carpet.  Tony loved his family and loved doing flooring which was his therapy.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday May 29, 2024, at 3:00pm in the Hockaday Chapel, there will be a visitation prior to the service 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Interment will be in the Love-Allen cemetery. Family will receive friends after the services at 1078 Blue Sky Road Halifax, NC.
