Anthony Wayne "Tony" Moore

At the young age of only 47, Anthony Wayne Tony Moore, surrounded by his loved ones went home to be with the Lord, ending his courageous battle with cancer.

Tony was born November 28, 1966 to Tom Moore and Dianne Moore Richardson, he was their Thanksgiving Baby. Tony grew up in Roanoke Rapids, graduating from Roanoke Rapids Schools, where he made friendships that would last a lifetime. Tony lived in Nashville, NC and was employed with Edgecombe Genco, LLC in Battleboro as a mechanical maintenance technician for 11 years. He loved life and those he shared it with. He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandfather Robert Morgan; and his PaPa Jim Norris. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Holly Faith Moore; sisters, Fern Moore; Angel Gray and husband Jimmy. Nieces, Cierra Medlin; Chassie Porch; and Andrea Porch. His maternal grandmother, Eula Norris; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special aunt and uncle, Nancy and Bobby Gums. Tonys request to all he loved, would be dont cry for me, live well, love much, laugh often, and see you soon. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Bane Angles, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends, Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
