Annie Odom Smith

Annie Odom Tripp Smith, 55, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2024 in ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC.  Mrs. Smith was born on November 4, 1968 in Halifax County, the daughter of Ruby Odom Bolton and William Douglas Bolton.  She was preceded by her first husband Carlton Tripp and her brother Billy Gene Bolton.

Surviving include her husband, Alvin Smith; her son Benjamin Lee Tripp (Jessica), her brothers William “Tommy” Bolton, Danny Ray Bolton (Terry) and James Thomas Bolton (Margaret), and her two grandchildren Callie Tripp and Kaylee Tripp.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2024 in Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Mike Little officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
