Angela Lorene Wilson

Angela Lorene Poarch Wilson, 58 of Gasburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday August 14, 2025.  Angela was born on November 11, 1966, in Richmond. she was preceded in death by parents Richard and Sadie Jean, brothers James Taylor, Eddie Poarch, sister Jean Phillips and aunts Beckey Presson and Peggy Harrell.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years Tim, sons Timothy Wilson(Ashton), Maverick Wilson (Ciera), Tevin King (Ebony), daughter Dakota Hoggard (Gary),grandchildren Brenden, Mi’Kayla, Raelynne, Casey, Gus, Lillie, Ellie “Butterbean”, sisters Cathy Grizzard and Skeeter Howerton (Larry), nieces Amber Barbour and Amanda Doyle, nephews Christopher Grizzard, Thomas Howerton and Andy Poarch, her aunt Bonnie Wright (Mike) and uncle Robert Taylor (Karen), her best friends Mary Maquire and Mora Ashburn and a host of cousins and extended family and friends.

Angela was a loving wife, mother and “Gammy”, she loved to watch wrestling, was a big sports fan of NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt), football (Washington Redskins), baseball (New York Yankees and LA Dodgers). She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday August 19, 2025, at 2:00pm at Victory Fellowship Church 200 South Main Street Emporia, Virginia. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
