PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF THE DAY AND PLACE OF THE FUNERAL SERVICE DUE TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND THE CEMETERY TEMPORARILY CLOSING AS A RESULT OF THE WEATHER.

Edith Kinnin Liverman (Amy), 67, of Roanoke Rapids, NC gained her angel wings on January 12th at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC with her children, sisters, and grandchildren by her side.

Amy was born on May 9th, 1954 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to the late Paul Edward Kinnin Sr. and Nadine Vick Kinnin.  She was also proceeded in death by her niece Jennifer Leigh Ricks.

Amy was a member of Fresh Fire Assembly of God. She never met a stranger and always took the time to tell them about the Lord.Amy was a loving mother, Grandma, Gram-Gram, sister, and friend. To know her was to love her. She loved her family and loved spending time with them. She had a kind and giving heart. She had a great love for all animals. Her passions were her Home Interior, clothes, pocketbooks, jewelry, and shoes. She enjoyed the snow and taking rides in her truck. She will be greatly missed by her family, her Church, and her friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Howard Russell “Russ” Brown, Jr. and wife Heather, Shannon Brown Carter;  grandchildren, Shaylin Carter, Shadrick Carter (Jenna), Shaden Carter, Shamry Carter, Ben Brown, Reagan Johnson; great grandchild, Everleigh Carter; sisters, Kay Kinnin DeBerry (Grady), Annette Kinnin Ricks, Paula Kinnin Farrell (Buddy); brother, Paul Kinnin (Iris); nieces and nephews, Brian Barnette, Kelly Hubbard, LtC US Army Mary Ann Ricks. Deni K. Wilson, Ashley Paul Kinnin, Paul Kinnin III, Stephanie Harrell, Kimberly Cannady;  several great and great-great nieces and nephews;  special friends Melinda and Billy Walker, Donna Peterson, and Brenda Bowen; also her ever faithful companion, her dog Tugg.

Due to the cemetery closing because of the weather conditions, the service for Mrs. Amy Liverman will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.  Burial will be done privately, in Cedarwood Cemetery, when weather permits. Pastors Chris Howerton and Randy Martin will preside.

Arrangements are under the care of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
