Amber Sue King

Amber Sue King, 32, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.  Amber was born on January 15, 1991 in Halifax County.  She was preceded in death by her father Linwood Clyde King and her grandmother Lulu Mae King.

Surviving include her mother Tammy Denise Harrelson Whitby (William “Lucky”), children:  Hannah Cooper, Christopher Cooper, and Gracey Cooper; siblings:  Destiny Faith King, Michael Hicks, and Heather King; step siblings:   Shonda Whitby, Dusty Whitby, Travis Whitby, and Brooks Twisdale; aunt Stephanie Winstead and her children:  Samantha Woodruff and Sarah Harris and Jean Mills; uncle Curtis Harrelson, Dennis Ray King, Mike King, Winkie Bulluck, Wilson King, Billy King, David King, and Donald Bulluck; and her grandmother Brenda Harrelson.

A Funeral Service will be held on at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 15, 2023 in Fresh Fire Assembly of God, 46 Pittman Court in Roanoke Rapids with Pastors Chris Howerton and Jessie Blalock.  A Private Burial will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service to assist the family.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
