Alice Turner Perry

Alice Turner Perry, 72, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015, in Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Perry was born, May 26, 1943, in Halifax County to the late Henry Joe Love and Mary Brown Love. She worked many years with JP Stevens, and later in life, was a caretaker. She loved her cats, loved to sing and especially loved working in her yard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Perry and Randall Junior Turner.

Surviving is her son, Randall Junior Turner II and fianc, Teresa Michelle Connor and daughter, Glenda T. Browder and husband, Gary, all of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Doniphan Browder and wife, Ashley, Travis Browder and fianc, Meagan Medlin, Jessie Turner, Randall Turner III, and Robert Turner. Also surviving are four great grandchildren and two on the way.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 6-8 pm. Rev. Jimmy King will conduct funeral services Monday, January 4, 2016, at Good News Baptist Church at 11:00 am with interment to follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will be served lunch, at the church, after the burial.
