Aldine Cobb Parks

Aldine Cobb Parks, 77, of Valley Drive, Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Aldine was born November 15, 1939 in Halifax County to the late Sam Cobb and Blanche Barham Cobb.She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Billy, Sam Hix, Preston, Bobby, Howard and Bunky Cobb; her sisters, Mary Lee, Opal Sugar Shell and Little Sister Cobb.

Aldine was a lifelong member of Roanoke Rapids First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was also a dedicated worker who spent 25 years at Champion International and another 32 years at Patch Rubber.

She is survived by her husband, Perry Parks, Sr. of the home; her sons, Perry Parks, Jr. and Jeff Parks both of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren; Kirklyn Parks and Camden Parks; her sister, Maxine Waters and her husband Moody Waters of Greer, SC.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Roanoke Rapids First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Richard Moody Waters and Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service..
