Addie Mae Stratton

Addie Mae Harris Stratton age 89, departed this life and stepped into the arms of her Lord and Savior on April 25, 2025. Addie was born on June 11, 1935, in Halifax County. She was the daughter of Thomas and Northia Harris. She is also preceded in death by her husband Edward Earl Stratton, son David Wayne Stratton, and grandson Marshall Craig Hamm.

Addie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great grandson.  In all relationships she embodied gentleness, kindness, and humility. Addie always strived to bring out the best in others and gave only the best of herself.

Addie attended Calvary Baptist Church. Addie retired from Belk department store after working for 64 years. She was a born salesperson and always enjoyed helping and talking with her clients! She also enjoyed working in her garden and cultivating daylilies, which she enjoyed giving to others. Upon her retirement, Addie enjoyed spending time with her family.

Addie is survived by her daughters, Mary Katherine Stratton Hamm (Keith) of Littleton and Debbie Jean Stratton Turner (Andrew) of Goldsboro; as well as Grandchildren, Stephen Brent Hamm of Littleton NC, Ashlie Caraline Turner Smith (Dylan) of Goldsboro NC and Great Grandson Andrew Thomas Reid Smith (Her pride and joy) of Goldsboro.

A grave side service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 28, 2025, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Littleton, NC with Pastor Randy Martin officiating.
